I bought the Fatfish 949i the year before Otter revamped their thermals. I really want the Otter XTH Pro Lodge now. However considering the price I paid for the Eskimo Fatfish 949i on sale, it was too good of a deal to pass up and the shelter has served it's purpose perfectly. It was a total upgrade from my old Eastman Ice cube.

In my opinion it is best suited for 2 people to fish in. Three people if your not fishing inside it. If you mainly fish by yourself you will have plenty of room. Easy to pop up and take down. Also the oversize storage bag is nice. It will go back in easy unlike my older eskimo hub.

It is super warm and the overhead netting is really nice. Only thing that's not so great is there are only two windows that you can see out while sitting. The 949i has a lot more. If you don't tip-up fish much no big deal. Both are great hubs and you can't go wrong with either.
