Great Comedy Brunch. Review of Comedy Cellar. Reviewed January 5, 2023. My son made reservations for 4 for brunch on New Years Day. They had four really good comedians and a comedic MC who was fantastic. The room is intimate, yet spacious. It cost $25 per person plus a 2 item minimum. Our server was great and efficient. Parties larger than 8 are not allowed in the MacDougal Street location. Our space is limited, intimate and cozy. Even if split into multiple reservations, we find that parties larger than 8 are usually noisy ( even without meaning to be) and this disrupts the show. Multiple reservations resulting in groups larger than 8 will also not be honored. The same comedians tend to be at all of those venues but my understanding is the comedy cellar and village underground are the best if you want to see a great show. Fat black isn’t set up quite as well for comedy.
