After inspecting the pistol, we found that the recoil spring guide assembly had moved downward. This caused the base of the rod to wedge into the cutout in the takedown lever. The lever will pop right into the grip or FCU and turn easily but when the grip and FCU are combined I get more resistance on the takedown lever than I would expect. It's hard for me to say because this is my first p320. Mine's new and super hard too. Scratched the crap out of the plastic frame while pressing it. Instead of an "all at once" cam on the ramp, it's more gradual. That and some oil makes the lever work much better. There is still a minor friction when taking down the fully assembled 320. That friction is not present on the return path of the TDL. It's a weird problem. I'm out of ideas.
